Our Philosophy on Collaboration & Outsourcing with BIM
Our adoption of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and modern ICT (Information Communication Technology) has provided some unique opportunities to collaborate with other people or companies in a synergistic way, regardless of location.
The Irish construction industry is a small market. We believe the previous model of building large, inefficient organisations based in a single location has, for the most part, proved to be unsustainable in our fluctuating economy. We see an alternative model where smaller specialist companies or individuals can effectively work together from remote locations, combining their sphere of influence, specialist expertise and manpower, to provide a critical mass required to resource big projects. In this model, elements of work can be outsourced to those members who have the correct expertise and capacity to deliver more effectively while controlling the cost and output.
BIM software facilitates outsourcing. It resolves most of the error checking and coordination issues that traditionally required all design and production staff to work in the same building. By using the remote working capabilities of modern internet technology, smaller, more efficient groups can now easily collaborate on bigger projects. With BIM, the production of logical elements or components of projects can easily be carried out in isolation of the overall project, which can then be re-assembled into an overall centrally managed BIM model.
Join Us
ARCDOX are continually looking to expand operations and production capacity, particularly into other areas of Ireland. To this end we are looking for like-minded architects and architectural technologists with a keen interest in BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Revit Architecture, to represent our interest in key areas in Ireland and the UK. If you are interest in BIM and Revit Architecture, and would like to join the ARCDOX team, please contact us by completing the email form below.

Regional representatives should have a strong background in architecture and project management and a good sphere of influence in the construction sector within their region, as well as good communication skills to market the benefits of the ARCDOX Service to that market. They should also have adequate experience in architecture and the construction industry in order to manage the overall production of documentation process, check compliance with regulations, determine suitability of details and specifications and communicate clients needs back to the production team. We will provide training in Revit Architecture if necessary. It is anticipated that regional representatives will eventually develop self-sustaining branch offices.
