ARCDOX is an Autodesk Authorised Training & Certification Centre for Autodesk Revit. As part of our ongoing commitment to support the construction industry in the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modelling), we are offering to share our experience through specific and affordable training on BIM Implementation and Autodesk Revit Software. As practicing users we offer some very practical advice & insight into BIM & Revit. Based on our experience, and material provided by Autodesk, we have developed the following specific courses to help companies or individuals implement BIM:

1-HOUR LUNCHTIME SEMINAR - Introduction to BIM (Building Information Modelling)
A short presentation on the basic understanding of BIM, an implementation strategy, and an outline of further training courses we provide.

½-DAY PRESENTATION - Introduction to BIM & Autodesk Revit

This presentation covers the basic understanding of BIM, the fundamentals of Revit, an Implementation strategy, some Tips & Tricks based on our own experience, and some suggestions into how the Irish construction industry can collaborate and work together to develop a critical mass and collective capacity to resource projects on a global scale.

The ½-day course now forms part of each of the 3-day Revit Essential courses below, but a streamlined version with more generic in content (not specific to Autodesk Revit users), is still offered as a stand alone course.

3-DAY AUTODESK REVIT ESSENTIALS COURSES:

These 3-day introductory courses into each of the Autodesk Revit platforms provide an excellent overview to help you get started with Autodesk Revit 2012. The course works through the typical workflow of a project and presents the fundamental concepts of the product, including:

• How Autodesk Revit works.
• An overview of the concepts and terms used in the product.
• How to perform common tasks in the product.

2-DAY AUTODESK REVIT ADVANCED COURSES:

These 2-day courses are key to learning how to create custom 3D content (Families), which is an integral part of working in Autodesk Revit. In these courses you learn:

• how to use families in your projects
• concepts of parametric design and family creation
• best practices to use when creating your own families

This course is intended for the beginning, intermediate, and advanced Revit user. Although any sketching and 2D or 3D modelling experience is helpful to understand how to work with families, and you should have a basic understanding of Revit before you begin to work with this guide.

COURSE FORMAT:

Our training is managed by our David O'Brien, a qualified architectural technologist with over 5 years of experience in the architectural industry and an Autodesk Revit Architecture 2011 Certified Professional. Training is typically carried out in small groups of 5-6 persons, at our offices in Sandyford, Dublin 18, in a dedicated training room with all the necessary training equipment and software. On request, we can also carry out training in client locations.

COURSE PRICES:

As part of our ongoing commitment to support the implementation of BIM in Ireland, and in recognition of the hardship companies are going through during the recession, we have pledge to keep the price of our courses as affordable as possible, and we have developed our courseware to ensure attendees receive real value for money. The course prices shown on our Training Course Price List page are reduced rates which we will maintain for 2011. We may have other special rates at times, or offer subsized training through funding organisations we work with, so please be sure to call us or check our special rates page on a regular basis.
