As part of our ongoing commitment to support the construction industry in the implementation of BIM (Building Information Modelling), we are offering to share our experience through specific and affordable training on BIM Implementation and Autodesk Revit Architecture Software. As practicing users we offer some very practical advice & insight into BIM & Revit. Based on our experience, and material provided by Autodesk, we have developed the following specific courses to help companies or individuals implement BIM:
½ - Hour Lunchtime Seminar - Introduction to BIM (Building Information Modelling)
A short presentation on the basic understanding of BIM, an implementation strategy, and an outline of further training courses we provide.
½ Day Course - Introduction to BIM & Revit Architecture (RIAI CPD Links Accredited - 3 Points)
Presentation on the basic understanding of BIM, the fundamentals of Revit, an Implementation strategy, some Tips & Tricks based on our own experience, some suggestions into how the Irish construction industry might work together to develop a critical mass/collective capacity to resource global scale projects.
3-Day Revit Architecture Fundamentals (RIAI CPD Links Accredited - 15 Points)
Hands-on tutorials working through 70 No. Training Exercises, designed to follow the typical architectural workflow on a project, from setting up the project environment, initial concept modelling, refining the architectural model, producing the documenting of a project from the model, to presenting visualisations and animation a project. The exercise material is provided by Autodesk. At the end of this, we provide some valuable insight into “next steps”, some useful links, and availability of further more advanced training.
2-Day Revit Architecture Advanced Training (RIAI CPD Links Accredited - 12 Points)
Hands-on tutorials covering advanced Revit Architecture tools including Worksharing, Design Options, Phases, Advanced components and Collaboration with a final Q&A session to finish.
Courses are designed to give a good broad overview, as well an intensive “kick start” into BIM and the process of carrying out a project in Revit.
Our training is managed by David Donaldson, a partner of ArcDox, a qualified architectural technologist with 24 years of experience in the architectural industry and an Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 Certified Associate. Training is typically carried out in small groups of 4-5 persons, at our offices in Sandyford, Dublin 18, in a dedicated training room with all the necessary training equipment and software. On request, we can also carry out training in client locations.
