CREATING CONTENT

Families are an integral part of working in Revit for Architecture, MEP, Structures or Landscape and are key to creating custom content. Managing and creating Revit Families is vital for companies working with Building Information Modelling (BIM) to maximize productivity. The course is designed for intermediate and advanced users who want a better understanding of family creation and shared parameters. Families are a vital component in the BIM processes; the abilities developed in this course will allow the user to re-use existing contents, which will help to accelerate the process.

Course Overview

Our team of specialists will present the course, explaining the theory behind the tools and conducting practical exercises. These exercises will help you understand and use the family tools. The trainees will learn how to create and edit families, apply constraints and shared parameters, and understand nest families.

Recommended experience level

This is for professionals with previous experience in Revit who work with, manage, or create family content.

Course Format

This online course consists of multiple modules delivered over 10 hours of live instruction and time for self-directed learning.

• Delivery: Online via Microsoft Teams
• Schedule: 1 hour per day at 9:30 AM (Irish Time – GMT/IST)
• Duration: 10 days total
• Access: Participants require a free Microsoft Teams or Office 365 account

Each module includes a 1-hour live (online) session with the trainer, complemented by approximately 1 hour of self-paced learning

Note: In the event of a Bank Holiday, the course will be delivered over 9 days, maintaining the total of 10 hours of live (online) instruction. One day (TBC) will include a double session.
