DESIGN LANDSCAPE PROJECTS WITH CONFIDENCE

Revit helps architects, designers, and contractors to model to a high level of detail and easily coordinate with building project contributors. The trainee is introduced to Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts and the tools for landscape design, site creation, and documentation. The trainee will learn the fundamental features of Autodesk Revit, how to use the 3D parametric design tools for creating and analysing a project, and finish with construction documentation and design visualisation.

Course Overview

This course is intended to equip landscape practitioners and practices to meet the challenges and reap the rewards of working in a BIM environment to help professionals in related fields understand how BIM processes can be brought into landscape projects. BIM significantly benefits the landscape profession and heralds a new chapter in interdisciplinary relationships. Revit for Landscaping shows how the software can enhance collaboration with other professionals and clients, streamline information processes, improve decision- and deliver well-designed landscape projects that are right the first time, on schedule and budget.

Recommended experience level

No previous experience is required.

Course Format

This online course consists of multiple modules delivered over 10 hours of live instruction and time for self-directed learning.

• Delivery: Online via Microsoft Teams
• Schedule: 1 hour per day at 9:30 AM (Irish Time – GMT/IST)
• Duration: 10 days total (5 days in week 1 | a two-week break | 5 days on Week 2)
• Access: Participants require a free Microsoft Teams or Office 365 account

Each module includes a 1-hour live (online) session with the trainer, complemented by approximately 1 hour of self-paced learning

Note: In the event of a Bank Holiday, the course will be delivered over 9 days, maintaining the total of 10 hours of live (online) instruction. One day (TBC) will include a double session.
