PROJECT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT PROCESS FOR BIM PROJECTS

ISO 19650-2 is a standard for managing information throughout the delivery phase of a construction project, using Building Information Modelling (BIM). This course provides an essential overview of information management processes, procedures and documentation to deliver BIM according to the ISO 19650-2 standard. It is structured around the key activities of the information process, the importance of the definitions and requirements of ISO 19650-2, as well as understanding its relevance and importance to the global construction industry. Course Overview

You will learn about the key information requirements and terms that relate to project delivery. The course follows the information management process where you will understand the details, activities and processes that are outlined within this standard to deliver your projects more efficiently and in line with the BIM requirements. You will gain a practical insight, skills and capabilities throughout this course

Recommended experience level

It is recommended that learners have some understanding of BIM, but it is not essential.

Course Format

This online course comprises multiple modules, delivered over 10 hours of online instruction, along with time for self-directed learning.

• Delivery: Online via Microsoft Teams
• Schedule: 1 hour per day at 1:00 PM (Irish Time – GMT/IST)
• Duration: 10 days total
• Access: Participants require a free Microsoft Teams or Office 365 account

Each module includes a 1-hour live (online) session with the trainer, complemented by approximately 1 hour of self-paced learning

Note: In the event of a Bank Holiday, the course will be delivered over 9 days, maintaining the total of 10 hours of live (online) instruction. One day (TBC) will include a double session.
