Service Description

Course Overview This course will cover an overview of Revit concepts, user interface, project set-up, designing with digital building components, producing drawing sheets, and detailing and documenting the project. The main objective is to teach the concepts of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and introduce the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit. This course will provide the trainee with a solid foundation in Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Autodesk’s Revit Architecture. Throughout the course, the trainee will be shown how to create 3D architectural models, from schematic design through to construction documentation. Recommended experience level: No previous experience required. Modality: 10 Days course (1 hr/day), delivered online using Microsoft Teams. Course Breakdown: Day 1 - Revit in a nutshell + Principles of BIM02 - UI tour Day 2 - UI Tour Day 3 - Element selection and manipulation + Visibility control  Day 4 - Model development methodology + Establishing a project  Day 5 - In-place families + 2D draughting and annotation + Sheet compilation and publication  Day 6 - Wall creation and manipulation + Windows, doors and component Day 7 - System family editing + Basic schedules and legends  Day 8 - Massing tools and building maker + Stairs, ramps and railings  Day 9 - Basic curtain walls + Room data and colour fill Day 10 - Basic subdivision and collaboration + Family editing
