Service Description

Course Overview This course will provide the trainee with a solid foundation in Building Information Modelling and has been designed to teach the concepts and principles from building design through construction documentation using the Autodesk Revit Structure software. The course introduces the trainee to the user interface and the basic building components of the software that makes it a powerful and flexible structural modelling tool. The course will show you the tools necessary to create, modify, and document your parametric model. Recommended experience level: No previous experience required. Modality: 10-hour instruction + 10-hour self-learning 10 Days course (1 hr-instruction/day), delivered online using Microsoft Teams. (Free Microsoft Teams or Office 365 Account Required) NOTE: In case of Bank Holiday the course will be delivered over 9 days for a total of 10-hour instruction course. One day (TBC) will have a double section. ​Material Training: eBook and Revit files are provided by us. Course Breakdown: Day 1 - Revit in a nutshell + Principles of BIM - UI tour Day 2 - UI Tour Day 3 - Element selection and manipulation + Visibility control  Day 4 - Model development methodology + Establishing a project  Day 5 - In-place families + 2D draughting and annotation + Sheet compilation and publication  Day 6 - Modelling Basics + Foundations and piling Day 7 - System family editing + Basic schedules and legends Day 8 - Slab and roof tools + Stairs, ramps and railings Day 9 - Beams and truss systems + Basic subdivision and collaboration Day 10 - Family editing
